PCUP reaffirms commitment to NAPC's anti-poverty action agenda
The Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor (PCUP), on Monday, Oct. 16, announced its participation in a meeting led by the National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC).

In a statement, PCUP said its Supervising Commissioner for Luzon, Andre Niccolo G. Tayag represented the Commission in the Government Sector Technical Working Group meeting of NAPC held on Oct. 12 in Quezon City.
The purpose of this meeting was to share discussions from the initial En Banc Meeting during President Marcos's administration.
The process of developing the National Anti-Poverty Action Agenda (N3A) was presented, along with reports on the National Poverty Reduction Plan and Local Poverty Reduction Plan.
During the meeting, Tayag affirmed that the Commission would play a role in developing N3A, especially in the social preparation for families affected by demolition or eviction.
He also expressed support for Administrative Order No. 111, s. 1989, which directs concerned government departments, agencies, and offices to coordinate with PCUP and actively participate in tri-sectoral dialogues and activities related to the urban poor.
Working alongside various government agencies, PCUP, led by Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Undersecretary Elpidio R. Jordan, Jr., is a partner in implementing poverty reduction programs which is a priority of the Marcos administration. (Erika Mariel Custodio Escover)
