The Parañaque city government launched the “Diskwento Caravan” on Monday, Oct. 16, in celebration of Consumers Welfare Month.

Mayor Eric Olivarez said 60 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) joined in the “Diskwento Caravan” themed “Gen S: Generation Sustainability”.
Olivarez said the caravan is a program of the Consumer Welfare Office under the supervision of Millan Alcaraz in cooperation with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
The caravan, located at the Parañaque City Hall grounds, will open to the public starting Oct. 16 until 20 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Julie’s Bakeshop, Magnolia Chicken, San Marino Handicraft, Street Walk (DTI), Tony G Variety store Zahara RTW, and Caritas are some of the participating businesses in the caravan.
Olivarez said frozen foods, clothes, shoes, native delicacies, souvenirs like bags and wallets can be bought at the caravan for a cheaper price.
