No tsunami threat after 6.7-magnitude quake in Alaska ---- Phivolcs
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) on Oct. 16 said there is "no tsunami threat" to the Philippines after the magnitude 6.7 earthquake in Alaska.

The quake had a depth of 253 kilometers, Phivolcs said.
Phivolcs explained that the quake occurred at 7:36 p.m. at Andreanof Islands, Aleutian Island.
"No destructive tsunami threat exists based on available data," said Phivolcs.
Phivolcs noted that there is "no action required" in connection with the said tremor. (Lizst Torres Abello)
