Iloilo’s electric distribution utility MORE Electric and Power Corp. has enhanced its customer service through an efficient refund system.
A total of P811,000 of bill deposit refund was disbursed in the past five months. This amount was refunded to 269 customers.
In the most recent installment for September, a sum of P538,000 was collectively refunded to over 162 customers.
According to MORE, individuals can still refund their bill deposit if they wish to terminate their electric service, subject to an annual interest rate.
In a statement, four out of 162 eligible patrons shared their positive feedback regarding MORE Power’s efficient collection.
Rodel Encajonado articulated the impact of this refund on him as he was able to prioritize purchasing essential household staples.
“The mechanism wherein your bill deposit is refunded for early payment is both effective and helpful. It serves as an essential tool in facilitating prudent management of household expenditures,” he said.
Elmar Cabalfin shared his excitement as well for being one of the customers who received a bill refund, stating, “My secret to having completed the 36 months of up-to-date payment is to always pay early, even when my bills are not yet due.”
Cherry Pie Elizalde and Edna De Vera Vasquez also commented on MORE Power’s customer experience, saying that there are significant benefits to those who diligently follow their bill payment deadlines.
One of them said that the major advantage of their refund was the ability to apply without property ownership.
Their enhanced customer service was able to support customers who met eligibility criteria, even those who have been unable to meet their payment deadlines for 36 months.
