Businessman ran over by own truck in Sipalay City

BACOLOD CITY â€“ A businessman died after he was ran over by a six-wheel truck loaded with scrap iron in Sitio Camp Valdez, Barangay Mambaroto, Sipalay City, Negros Occidental on Sunday, October 15.

Police identified the victim as Harold Francisco, 45, of Barangay Bacuyangan, Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental, a buyer of scrap materials.

Investigation said the victim jumped out of his truck when his 34-year-old driver told him that he was losing control over the vehicle due to mechanical trouble.

However, the victim was run over by the rear tire of the truck.

The victim was declared dead in a hospital while his driver was placed under police custody.

They were on their way to this city when the incident happened.
