PIKIT, North Cotabato (PNA) – Two junior high school students were killed in an ambush on Sunday night, October 15, in a remote barangay here, police said.

In a report on Monday, October 16, Police Major John Arvin Cambang, town police chief, said Jamer Ebrahim, 21, and Muhaliden Amer, 20, both of Barangay Poblacion, here, died on the spot.
Investigation showed that victims were riding on a motorbike heading for home when they were ambushed on the border of Barangays Ladtingan and Kalawag.
The victims bore multiple bullet wounds.
Responding police found empty shells for caliber .45 pistol at the scene.
The ambush came amid the strict election gun ban here.
