If you find yourself in Japan in the coming months, make sure to visit this trending cafe. (Thisis)Shizen, a Kyoto-based cafe and shop, has been making waves due to its ice cream flower bouquets. According to the cafe, the ice bouquet is "an ice cream with flowers made from bean paste." In Japan, red beans, particularly azuki beans, hold a traditional and indispensable place. Kyoto's confectionery culture places great importance on bean paste, a tradition that (Thisis)Shizen fully embraces in creating its sweet creations.

The cafe’s website describes the store as a place that celebrates the blessings of nature and the artistry of human hands. “Based on the concept of nature, craft, and art, the store is divided into two themes: Green Shop (Ueya) and Cafe (Chaya). The shop features plants that are mainly of Japanese indigenous species, ceramics fired in the shop using Japanese soil, organically-made food, tea, sake and art,” it states.

@alisyasdiaries The most beautiful ice cream in Japan 🖤 If you are traveling to Kyoto, you have to stop by this florist/ice cream shop 🌸🍦 This ice cream bouquet has been all over Instagram, this one specifically being the hydrangea limited bouquet! I would recommend going there for the opening, as people line up just for that and it sells out before noon! I personally got mine around 10:30am. But if you just want a normal bouquet, then you can also get another one. For example my friend got the black one, which is just as pretty 🖤 You may wonder if it’s worth the wait… to me it is! It’s not only gorgeous, but also really good! It’s a nice mix of wagashi (traditional Japanese sweet) and ice cream. 📍 (THISIS) SHIZEN 🕰️ 10:00 - 19:00 🚊 Karasuma Oike Station #kyoto #kyotocafe #京都カフェ #japanexplorer #discoverjapan #japan #japancafe #japancontentcreator #japaninfluencer #lifeinjapan #traveljapan #fyp #fypage ♬ Super Shy - NewJeans
