#MayPasok: Taguig LGU establishes assistance desks to assist commuters amid transport strike
The Taguig City government did not suspend classes on Oct. 16 and instead established 14 assistance desks to help commuters amid the planned transport strike in Metro Manila.
“Since major Taguig transport groups have given the assurance they will not be joining the scheduled nationwide strike by Manibela on Monday, Oct. 16, classes in the City are not suspended tomorrow [Oct. 16],” the city government said on Oct. 15.

It added, “Nevertheless, tents will be put up in 14 areas in the City, including the EMBO barangays, with composite teams on standby to assist commuters. Depending on the need, vehicles may be deployed to offer free rides.”
Manibela is opposing the phaseout of jeepneys.
The 14 areas in Taguig where there are assistance desks are:

2. DOST
3. ARCA South
4. Tenement
5. Gate 3
6. Waterfun
7. Market! Market!
8. Global Oil, Cayetano Boulevard, Ususan
9. Petron Diego Silang, C5
10. Sta. Ana
11. Napindan
EMBO areas
12. After Pateros bridge
13. Stop light or crossing of Buting, JP Rizal, C5
14. Uptown hub BGC / Kalayaan Avenue
