Manila Archdiocese calls for 'holy hour' for peace in Holy Land
The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) on Sunday, Oct. 15, stated that the Manila Archdiocese requested a “holy hour” for peace for everyone, mainly the Holy Land to take a moment of prayer for those people in distress from the war.

The Archdiocese appealed in the circular read: “In solidarity with our brothers and sisters in the Holy Land, we request that our parishes and communities gather our people for prayers like the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament/Holy Hour and the praying of the rosary on October 17, 2023, or any day community decides.”
In addition, it stated that this movement was the call of the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem Pierbattista Cardinal Pizzaballa for prayer and fasting for peace in the Holy Land.
CBCP added that the archdiocese is "set to send the prayer prepared by its Archdiocesan Liturgical Commission."
