2 hurt in QC fire

Two persons were hurt in a fire that hit a residential area in Barangay Krus Na Ligas, Quezon City on Sunday morning, Oct. 15.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) identified the victims as Keith Flores, 18, who sustained second degree burns on her legs and arms; and Arjay Pedreza, 32, who sustained minor abrasion on his right leg.

The BFP said the fire at the corner of Tiburcio Street was raised to the first alarm at around 9:35 a.m. and was elevated to the second alarm at 9:48 a.m.

It was declared under control at around 10:36 a.m. and was extinguished at around 12:03 p.m.

Authorities placed an estimated P50,000 damage to property caused by the fire. 

Probers are still determining the number of houses gutted by the fire, the number of families affected, and  the cause of the blaze.
