Pasig LGU holds mental health sessions for city employees
The Pasig City Health Department conducted a series of mental wellness lectures for local government employees in celebration of National Mental Health Week from Oct. 9 to 13.

The program was conducted on Oct. 4, 5, and 10, with over 200 employees receiving insights on maintaining their overall health, decreasing stigma against mental disorders, and how to use different coping strategies for their mental health.
The program also became a place for each employee to share the common stressors that they encounter in their workplace.
"Mental health in the workplace refers to the emotional and psychological well-being of employees while they're on the job,” said the Pasig City Health Department (CHD).
"A mentally healthy workplace benefits everyone, creating a more resilient, productive, and harmonious environment," it added.
The city government said that the lecture program is just one of the many projects of the city to enrich the well-being of their employees.
"With a healthier, stronger, and mentally resilient workforce, the Pasigueños can rest assured that they are in capable hands," the city government expressed.

To show its solidarity on National Mental Health Awareness Week, the city government also lit up its buildings in blue, particularly the revolving tower and Tanghalang Pasigueño, on Oct. 10 for World Mental Health Day.
In support of the program by the Philippine Mental Health Association, Inc. (PMHA), an image of the 2023 poster for Mental Health Week with the theme "Mental Health is a Universal Human Right” was projected on the City Hall.
The PMHA campaign called "Light Up Blue for Mental Health" has been running for four years now, where the color blue is associated with serenity, peace, and calmness.
PMHA is a private, non-profit organization and a mental health advocacy organization promoting mental health and well-being, preventing mental disorders, eradicating stigma, and inspiring people to become mental health advocates.
