The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) confiscated P680,000 worth of shabu from a 21-year-old man in a buy-bust operation in Quezon City, on Friday, Oct. 13.
Police identified the suspect as Joshua Mangga, a resident of Barangay Bagong Pag-asa, Quezon City.
According to the police report, a concerned citizen informed the operatives about the suspect's illegal drug activities, prompting the District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU), in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency- Regional Office-National Capital Region (PDEA-RO-NCR), to conduct a buy-bust operation around 11:50 p.m. at Puno St., Sitio San Roque, Barangay Bagong Pag-asa, Quezon City.
Seized from Mangga were around 100 grams of shabu worth P680,000, a black pouch, a cellular phone, and the buy-bust money.
The suspect will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, police said.
