CEBU CITY – Fully grown marijuana plants worth P1.2 million were uprooted in a mountain barangay in Toledo City, Cebu.
The vast marijuana plantation was discovered shortly before 5 p.m. on Friday, October 13, in Sitio Kalubihan, Barangay Tungkay.
The 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) were patrolling the area when they found the 1.5-hectare marijuana plantation.
The 2nd PMFC coordinated with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Central Visayas for the destruction of 3,000 marijuana plants.
No one was arrested during the operation.
Police said follow-up investigation will be conducted to identify the cultivator.
