LPA exits PAR; rains to still prevail due to northeasterly wind flow, thunderstorms
The Low Pressure Area (LPA) being monitored exits the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) in the area of the West Philippine Sea (WPS) and has no direct effect on the country, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Saturday, Oct. 14.

Meanwhile, weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said the northeasterly surface windflow affects the country, particularly northern Luzon.
PAGASA said Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Apayao, and Abra will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains due to the effect of the northeasterly surface windflow.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers will also be felt in Metro Manila and the rest of the country due to localized thunderstorms, said PAGASA.
PAGASA warned against flash floods and landslides in high-risk areas during moderate to heavy rains. (Lizst Torres Abello)
