This is not a drill: Mango Mama, the latest culinary venture by The Sunny Side Group, just opened its doors today, Oct. 14, 2023, in Boracay. If you've savored the delights of Coco Mama and Ube Mama, you're in for a treat with their latest innovation, Mango Mama. Nowie and Odette Potenciano, the dynamic duo behind The Sunny Side Group, are once again reshaping the dining scene in Boracay.

Mango Mama proudly serves 100 percent plant-based ice cream, featuring two scoops of vegan mango-coco or black rice ice cream, delicately placed on warm suman, complemented by salted coconut cream, ripe mango cubes, and a delightful crunchy latik finish.

"We’ve always wanted to do something fun with mangoes. After all, we have the best in the world, and visitors to Boracay always look for it," Nowie exclusively shares with Manila Bulletin Lifestyle. "And as with Coco Mama and Ube Mama, the combination of what we can do with the fruit and other ingredients just comes together. We felt that we had a good way of presenting various flavors, textures, and even temperatures together."

When asked about Mango Mama's target audience, he emphasizes, "I think Boracay visitors who are a balance of wanting to experience great local fruit and produce, plus are also looking to try something new would be a great fit for Mango Mama. There’s something familiar but also something new to discover in every bite!"

The Sunny Side Group's impressive portfolio includes The Sunny Side Cafe, Percy Seafood, Hello Sailor, Spicebird, Coco Mama, Ube Mama, and now, Mango Mama.
