Former municipal administrator of Albuera, Leyte shot dead

TACLOBAN CITY – A former municipal administrator of Albuera, Leyte and a candidate for municipal councilor in 2022 was shot dead near the police station in Albuera on Friday, October 13.

Police identified the victim as Armando Meneses, 52, a civil engineer, and a resident of Albuera.

Initial investigation disclosed that the victim was sitting and watching his tablet when he was suddenly shot twice by unidentified gunmen using an unknown firearm.

Suspects immediately fled to an unknown direction while the victim was brought to a hospital in Ormoc City, Leyte where was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police are conducting a follow-up investigation on the incident.
