Ticket bought in Manila yields new millionaire


The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) on Friday, Oct. 13, announced that a lone bettor from Sampaloc, Manila bagged the P34.5 million Lotto 6/42 jackpot.

The bettor correctly guessed 13-41-06-25-34-42, with an amount of P34,562,804.20 Lotto 6/42 jackpot last Oct. 12 evening draw.

However, PCSO added that since the jackpot prize exceeded P10,000, it will be subject to a 20 percent tax deduction under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion or TRAIN Law.

Moreover, under the Republic Act (RA 1169) or the PCSO Charter, if the jackpot prize remains unclaimed, it will be forfeited and will go to the PCSO Charity Fund.

The Lotto 6/42 draw is drawn every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
