Minus Vice Ganda and Ion Perez, 'It's Showtime' hosts temporarily bid goodbye to madlang people: 'We'll be right back!'

Except for Vice Ganda and Ion Perez, the other co-hosts of the popular noontime program "It's Showtime" temporarily bid goodbye to their fans at the end of their show on Friday, Oct. 13.

Comedian Vhong Navarro spoke on behalf of the other hosts and guests of the show as he invited viewers to watch "This Is Your Lucky Day" which will temporarily replace "It's Showtime" for 12 days beginning Saturday, Oct. 14.

"At kami naman po sa aming pagbabalik Oct. 28. Kaya madlang people, ma-mi-miss namin kayo. We'll be right back pero mabilis lang yan. Kita-kita tayo uli. This is our show, our time, It's Showtime," said Vhong, the other co-hosts and guests, as they ended the program on a high note.

The Unkabogable Star was not absent during Friday's episode of "It's Showtime." She hosted the "Mini Miss U" portion of the show. But Vice Ganda did not join the other co-hosts on stage at the show's end.

On Oct. 11, ABS-CBN announced that the Philippines’ newest game variety show “It’s Your Lucky Day” will temporarily replace “It’s Showtime” beginning Oct. 14-27.

"It's Your Lucky Day" will be hosted by Luis Manzano, Ang Pambansang Host, with Robi Domingo, Jennica Garcia, and Melai Cantiveros. Joining them are special co-hosts and other celebrity guests.

"The Philippines’ newest game variety show “It’s Your Lucky Day” will temporarily replace “It’s Showtime” and will be hosted by Luis Manzano, Ang Pambansang Host, with Robi Domingo, Jennica Garcia, and Melai Cantiveros. Joining them are special co-hosts and other celebrity guests. 

"The dynamic program “It’s Your Lucky Day,” from the same team behind “It’s Showtime,” will feature a set of original game and variety segments and will air from October 14 to 27, Mondays through Saturdays, at 12nn on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, and GTV.  It will also be available on Kapamilya Online Live, iWantTFC, and TFC.

"We invite viewers to welcome luck into their homes and experience fun and enjoyment with the family in “It’s Your Lucky Day.”

On Sept. 4, the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) announced its decision to suspend the live noontime program “It’s Showtime!” for 12 airing days.

The suspension order came after viewers lodged complaints before the MTRCB concerning the show’s July 25, 2023 episode where the program's hosts Vice Ganda and Ion Perez allegedly acted indecently during one of its segments, “Isip Bata.” 

ABS-CBN said: "We will submit a Motion for Reconsideration as we humbly maintain that there was no violation of pertinent law." The network submitted its plea on Sept. 18.

In a resolution dated Sept. 28, the MTRCB denied the MRs filed by GMA Network, Inc. and ABS-CBN Corporation. "It's Showtime" is currently being aired on GTV Network, a company owned by the Kapuso Network.

The same day, ABS-CBN said in a statement that it already received the decision of the MTRCB, which denied the MRs.

"We have received the decision of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board denying our Motion for Reconsideration regarding 'It’s Showtime' and are currently exploring all our remedies and options," the statement read.

On Oct. 6, ABS-CBN announced that it would no longer appeal the suspension order on the popular noontime program.
