A man, who was charged for drug possession, and a murder suspect were arrested by members of Pasay City Police Warrant and Subpoena Section (WSS) during manhunt operations in Las Piñas City and Parañaque City on Thursday, Oct. 12.
The suspect, a certain Rofil ranked Top 10 in the list of wanted persons in station level, was arrested at around 2:30 p.m. at Diego Sierra, Pulanglupa, Las Piñas City.
The Southern Police District (SPD), citing the report of the Pasay City police chief Col. Froilan Uy, said the suspect was arrested by virtue of a warrant issued by Judge Elenita Carlos Dimaguila of Pasay Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 298 on March 28, 2023 for illegal possession of drugs, with a recommended bail of P200,000.
The SPD said Judge Irma Panahon Abad of Pasay RTC Branch 113 also issued a warrant of arrest against the suspect on April 3, 2023 without bail for the same offense.
In Parañaque City, a murder suspect, Tinoy, 27, tagged as Top 2 wanted person was arrested at San Juan De Coastal, Barangay San Dionisio at around 2:00 p.m. on Oct. 11.
The suspect was nabbed by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Leilani Marie N Dacanay Grimares of Parañaque City RTC Branch 294.
The police said the arrested suspects were immediately detained at Pasay and Parañaque police custodial facilities after their arrest.
