LEGAZPI CITY, Albay – Residents of Barangay Puro and nearby villages here benefited from the Tarabangan Caravan of the Ako Bicol party-list held on Friday, October 13.
Ako Bicol party-list Rep. Zaldy Co said 500 patients were served during the medical mission held through the Medical Assistance to Indigent Patients (MAIP) program of the Department of Health (DOH).
Seventy availed of electrocardiogram (ECG), 70 X-Ray, 20 2D echocardiography (2D Echo), and blood chemistry.
Ako Bicol party-list partnered with various government agencies and private companies for the caravan.
Co said that the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-5 sponsored flouride health application for at least 200 day care and kinder students here.
Beneficiaries received health kits for babies, personal hygiene kits, soap, and vitamins.
The Tarabangan Caravan medical and dental mission is a priority project of Ako Bicol party-list in partnership with various local government units, government agencies, and private companies to provide quality medical treatment to the underprivileged in Bicol.
The caravan in Barangay Puro was Ako Bicol's 11th since it was launched earlier this year.
