CAMP RAFAEL C. RODRIGUEZ, Butuan City – Police arrested an 18-year-old suspected drug pusher in a search warrant operation in Barangay Punta, Nasipit, Agusan del Sur on Wednesday, October 11.
Police Regional Office-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Kirby John B. Kraft identified the suspect as alias “Jeno.”
Lawmen were assisted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Agusan del Norte in serving the search warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 33 in this city.
The suspect, listed as a high-value individual (HVI), yielded 11 sachets of suspected shabu weighing 3.4 grams with a standard drug price of P28,560 and drug paraphernalia.
Representatives from the Department of Justice, the media, and the barangay council witnessed the operation.
Drug-related charges have been filed against the suspect for violation of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Kraft lauded the community for their support to the police in the campaign against drugs.
“Community members often have valuable information about illegal drug activities in their neighborhoods,” Kraft said, adding: “That is why I encourage the public to help us monitor any drug-related activities for us to launch appropriate police operations.”
