Man shot dead in Binangonan


A 46-year-old man was shot to death by four motorcycle-riding individuals in Barangay Batingan, Binangonan, Rizal on Tuesday, Oct. 10, the Rizal Police Provincial Office (Rizal PPO) said thursday, Oct. 12.

The police identified the victim as Carlos Victorino, a resident of Binangonan. Rizal PPO OIC PCol. Rainerio De Chavez said Victorino was killed along Sampalocan Street.

CCTV footage of the barangay showed two parked motorcycles, a sky blue Yamaha Mio scooter and a red Suzuki Raider, in the scene of the crime. Upon seeing the victim, the back riders of the two motorcycles pulled out an unknown caliber of firearm and fired relentlessly at Victorino killing him on the spot.

The suspects were last seen along Sta. Ursula Street and fled in an unknown direction. The police's backtracking operation is still ongoing.

De Chavez assured the family of Victorino that justice wil be served and has tasked Binangonan Municipal Police Station Officer-In-Charge PLtCol. Eduardo Balita to exhaust all efforts to quickly solve the case. 

He then urged the public to remain vigilant and report to the authorities any sightings of information about the suspects.
