Bohol sets up helpline for residents with kin in Israel

CEBU CITY – The provincial government of Bohol has set up a helpline for Boholanos with families who are currently in war-torn Israel.

Gov. Aris Aumentado said a contact center was set up by the provincial government through the Bohol Employment and Placement Office-Public Employment Service Office (BEPO-PESO) and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA).

The contact center will give Boholanos access to contact their loved ones who are in Israel, said Aumentado.

The contact center can be reached through 09851194206.

Aumentado also ordered close monitoring of the situation of Boholanos in Israel.

The Israeli government has declared war against Hamas after the Palestinian militant group carried out a deadly attack in Israel.

“We are closely monitoring the situation in Israel. We are taking steps to lessen the anxiety of our constituents who have family members in Israel,” Aumentado said.
