CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela – Thirteen towns in this province have been affected by African Swine Fever (ASF).
Dr. Belina Barboza, provincial veterinary officer, said in interview with a local radio station that another case of ASF was recorded in Barangay San Juan, Cabagan.
“Nasa labing-apat na baboy ang sabay-sabay na namatay sa nasabing barangay dahil sa ASF at agad ibinaon sa lupa ng isang backyard raiser (Fourteen pigs died due to ASF in the barangay and were buried immediately by the backyard raiser),” Barboza said.
ASF-affected towns include Angadanan, Aurora, Alicia, Echague, Luna, Mallig, Quirino, San Isidro, Gamu, Ramon, Roxas, and Burgos.
Hog raisers were urged to follow the minimum biosecurity measures against ASF and feed their animals properly and give them supplements or vitamins.
