P325K illegal drugs seized; 21 drug peddlers, 6 others arrested in Bulacan



Twenty-one drug peddlers, five wanted persons, and an election ban on firearms violator were arrested by the Bulacan Police in different operations conducted on Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 10 and 11.

Based on the police reports, on Oct. 11, a buy-bust operation was conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of the San Jose Del Monte, San Miguel, Bocaue, Guiguinto, Plaridel, Baliuag, Obando, and Norzagaray police.

During the operations, 16 drug suspects were arrested by the police, and seized from them 48 plastic sachets of suspected shabu with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of P135,237; six big plastic sachets containing suspected dried marijuana leaves with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of P20,400; assorted drug paraphernalia, and the buy-bust money. 

At about 11:55 p.m. on Oct. 10, a successful operation by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of Malolos City Police Station led to the arrest of five drug suspects on the act of selling illegal drugs.

Seized during the operations were six plastic sachets containing suspected to be shabu estimated to be approximately 25 grams and worth P170,000; assorted drug paraphernalia, and the buy-bust money.

Meanwhile, the tracker team of San Jose Del Monte, Bocaue, Hagonoy, and Bulakan police arrested five felons. They were identified as Mariano Restituto, who was wanted for Act of Lasciviousness; Rodrigo Dela Cruz (wanted for violation of Republic Act No. 9262 on Violence against Women and Children); Rosalina Santos (wanted for violation of Batas Pambansa on bouncing checks); Jason Serrano (wanted for Qualified Rape and Lascivious Conduct); and Catheryn Yosolon (wanted for violation of the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000  or RA 9003. 

Also on Tuesday, Oct.10, a violator of the prevailing gun ban was arrested in Brgy. Malibo Matanda, Pandi, Bulacan after a concerned citizen reported to authorities about a commotion in the area caused by the armed suspect.

Recovered was one caliber 38 without serial number and nine pieces of live ammunition of a caliber 38.

Grave Threats in relation to RA 7610, Violations of RA 10591 (Illegal possession of Firearm and Ammunition), and the Omnibus Election Code (Gun Ban) were filed against the suspect.
