The Navotas City local government unit (LGU) opened the application for authenticated copies of different Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)
documents of residents on Wednesday, Oct. 11.
According to the LGU, the city government is now authorized to receive requests and provide copies of PSA (Philippine Statistics Authority) issuances in accordance with City Ordinance No. 2023-30.
The ordinance facilitated the implementation of the Batch Request Query System (BREQS).
BREQS is capable of processing a range of documents, including birth certificates, marriage certificates, death certificates, certificates of no marriage (CENOMAR), advisories on marriages, court decisions or legal instruments, and annotated civil registry documents.
Navotas City Mayor John Rey Tiangco emphasized that it will be easier and more convenient for the people to get their authenticated documents.
“BREQS will make it easier and more convenient for Navoteños and non-Navoteños alike to access civil registry services,” Mayor John Rey Tiangco said.
"PSA documents are important in availing government assistance. Through this system, we hope to open more opportunities for our people to avail programs and services that are due to them," he added.
The Public Information Office (PIO) has conveyed that both residents and non-residents have the option to visit the Local Civil Registry Office to get their authenticated copies of documents, situated on the second floor of Navotas City Hall.
They also added that the city government will impose an administrative fee of P40.00 for each document requested, in addition to the regular fee set by the PSA (Philippine Statistics Authority).
