Navotas gov't temporarily halts Covid-19 vaccinations
The Navotas City government announced on Wednesday, Oct. 11, that the Covid-19 vaccinations in the city will temporarily be halted starting Friday, Oct. 13.
It said that the temporary stoppage of the inoculation will take effect while the city is waiting for Covid-19 vaccine supplies from the Department of Health.
The local government added that it currently has five vials of Pfizer vaccine containing 10 doses which will be each allotted to children aged five to 10 years old.
Children who want to get vaccinated may register to the nearest health center, it said.
As of Oct. 10, there are 223, 872 individuals who got their initial Covid-19 jabs while 223,936 received their second doses.
The city government also listed 81,586 persons who already got their first Covid-19 boosters jabs. Some 20,100 residents were inoculated with second booster doses.
It said that there were also five active Covid-19 cases out of the 22,753 total cases listed as of the same day, with 775 deaths and 21, 973 recoveries.
Residents were advised to check the city's official Facebook page for updates regarding the resumption of the Covid-19 vaccinations.
