The Low Pressure Area (LPA) east of Visayas has entered the country’s area of responsibility on Wednesday, Oct. 11, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

The LPA, which was located 750 kilometers east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar still has a low chance of developing into a tropical cyclone, PAGASA said.
However, its trough or extension may bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, Bicol Region, Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
The rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy weather with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, PAGASA said the LPA may become the extension of a typhoon outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) with an international name “Bolaven.”
The typhoon, which was last spotted 2,310 kilometers east of southeastern Luzon, however has a slim chance of entering the PAR.
PAGASA warned against flash floods and landslides in high-risk areas during moderate to heavy rains. (Lizst Torres Abello)
