Standard to the Bentayga EWB Azure is a 4+1 seating layout. It comes with an exclusive Airline Seat Specification that offers maximum relaxation in the rear, with backrests that recline to 40 degrees and make it easier to sleep. Surrounding the seat are heated rear door and center armrests.
The seat can adjust 22 ways, and offers a new auto climate sensing system and postural adjustment technology. In Relax mode, the seat can recline to 40 degrees, while the passenger seat can slide forward and a beautifully leather-trimmed footrest deploys from the back of the front passenger seat.
In Business Mode, the seat moves into its most upright position to make working while on the move more comfortable.
With Seat Auto Climate, a passenger can select the desired temperature setting from six different levels. The contact temperature and surface humidity are then directly measured – cushion and backrest independently – and the heating and ventilation are adjusted to achieve the required temperature. This is continuously monitored to ensure it remains constant as optimized body temperature is vital when the focus is on individual wellbeing.
The new Postural Adjustment function uses new thigh and shoulder pockets, plus additional lumbar massage pockets, to subtly yet continuously change the shape of the seat to ease pressure points around the body, preventing dead spots and fatigue build-up. There are three different programs available, namely “All areas of the seat,” “Twist” and “Backrest only.”
The system goes beyond the two-dimensional motions typical of adjustable seats because it is able to employ a three-dimensional twist to relieve pressure points. Six independent pressure zones can provide 177 adjustments every three hours to ensure that seat comfort is never compromised, regardless of the length of the journey.
A bespoke cabin
Throughout the cabin, new craftsmanship elements bolster a class-leading interior. For this Azure range, customers get a choice of three open pore veneers — Dark Walnut, Crown-Cut Walnut and Koa, which has a satin, reflective quality evoking a calming mood.
Azure customers also have a full range of 15 hide colors and color splits to choose from, with contrast stitching as standard and seat piping as a no-cost option. Supercar performance
Powering the Bentayga EWB is Bentley’s proven 4.0-liter 32-valve dual twin-scroll turbocharged V8 gasoline engine. The Bentayga EWB V8 offers supercar performance through a power output of 550-hp and 770-Nm of torque. This results in a top speed of 290 km/h and 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 4.6 seconds.
Chassis and powertrain refinements include Electronic All-Wheel Steering and Bentley Dynamic Ride as standard, reflecting the dynamic abilities of the Bentayga that have already won critical acclaim.
