Man, 20, arrested in Manila for sex trafficking; 6 minors rescued
Operatives of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) rescued eight victims of suspected sex trafficking, including six minors, following the arrest of a man believed to be behind the syndicate in Manila on Tuesday, Oct. 10.
Authorities said five of the eight rescued individuals were female with six of them who were found out to be minors.
They said the minors were from nine to 12 years old.
According to initial reports, the NBI dispatched its personnel to act as poseur customers.
The suspect offered services to the undercover agents by sending them photographs of the victims.
The suspect was arrested after accepting payment from the NBI agents.
He is now being held at the NBI detention facility.
Investigators said the arrested suspect will face charges of qualified trafficking and child abuse.
