Scattered rains to persist in parts of PH due to trough of LPA
The trough or extension of the Low Pressure Area (LPA) being monitored outside the country’s area of responsibility (PAR) will continue to affect parts of the archipelago, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Tuesday, Oct. 10.

Central Visayas, Eastern Visayas, Bicol Region, and Mindanao will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms, PAGASA said.
It noted that the LPA, which was located 1,170 kilometers east of eastern Visayas still has a low chance of developing into a tropical cyclone.
However, it may enter the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) in the next 24 to 48 hours.
Weather specialist Grace Castañeda said there is a high likelihood of rain showers in Southern Luzon in the next few days due to the approaching weather disturbance.
It warned against flash floods and landslides in high-risk areas during moderate to heavy rains. (Lizst Torres Abello)
