Marina Benipayo on Ricardo Cepeda's arrest, detention: 'Never namin ma-imagine na mangyayari sa amin ito'

Beauty queen-model-actress Marina Benipayo has opened up on her partner actor Ricardo Cepeda’s arrest for alleged syndicated estafa. 

In a Tiktok post, Marina reiterated what her son related in an earlier Facebook post about Ricardo being merely an  ambassador of the company involved in the issue.

She made clear: “Ricardo was never present in any of those talks about investing. Hindi nga kami nag-invest doon, kasi hindi kami nag-invest, wala kami pang-invest.”

“Hindi po siya signatory, wala siya pinirmahan na kahit anong papel dun sa kumpanya. Ito nga ang pagka-brand ambassador niya, herbal nga iyan, kasi gusto nga niya tulungan yung tao in the first place.”

She expressed sadness with people already judging Ricardo based on online comments.

“Napakabait niyang tao. Dami niya tinutulungan. Ito nga nangyari, tinutulungan lang din niya yung kilala niya. Pero, you know, of course, lessons learned. 

“Never talaga in our lives, never namin ma-imagine na mangyayari sa amin ito.”

Marina would go on to call out her partners’ critics.

“Sana po, before kayo mag-comment, sana kung hindi niyo kilala ang tao, huwag na lang kayo magsulat.”

“And dun sa content creator, dahil ikaw ang nag-post, you're also responsible for lahat ng comment na lalabas and reactions.”

She urged, “Sana po matuto po tayo to discern what is the truth. I-discern po natin kahit yung mga sinasabi natin, mga sinusulat natin. Kasi may pamilya po (nadadamay).

“Sanayin po natin na kung puwede if magsusulat tayo or magko-comment or magpo-post ng video, it's always for support and prayer. Dahil yun ang pinakakailangan namin ngayon. Please use your social media power well and responsibly.”
