BUTUAN CITY – A magnitude-4.8 earthquake jolted Davao Occidental on Tuesday morning, October 10.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) logged the earthquake at 4:16 a.m. and its epicenter was 292 kilometers (kms) southeast of Balut Island, Sarangani, Davao Occidental.
The tremor had a depth of 40 kms, Phivolcs said.
No damage or injuries are expected and the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) in Southern Mindanao and Davao Occidental Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council reported no damage or injury from the earthquake.
