Following complaints of “intermittent access” to some services, Globe’s mobile payment service GCash said it is enhancing its security measures to secure customers’ accounts while having easier access to the GCash app.
In a statement released Tuesday, Oct. 10, the company said it has resolved the issues for all affected services as of 7 p.m. on Oct. 9.
“We assure our customers that their accounts and funds remain secure,” it said.
“We advise our users to never share their MPIN and One-time PIN (OTP) with anyone. GCash will never send emails or messages with links nor reach out to customers via calls and other messaging platforms,” it added.
For concerns regarding the Gcash app or GCash accounts, the company urged customers to contact them through official channels such as the GCash Help Center at https://help.gcash.com.
