Police Brig. Gen. Anthony Aberin, chief of the Police Regional Office-Central Visayas (PRO-7), led the turnover of ammunition and raincoats or ponchos to the BPPO.
“We are thankful to the PRO-7 for the equipment that we received. This will definitely help in our campaign to ensure peace and order in the province,” said Police Col. Lorenzo Batuan, BPPO chief.
Aberin reminded the BPPO to remain apolitical in the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections and
observe police operational procedures (POP).
“The police operational procedure is the one the we should follow. It is our bible. So, I direct every member of BPPO to please, review it. Read it from time to time because all of the law enforcement operations, law enforcement activities are there,” said Aberin.
Aberin urged the BPPO to intensify its crime prevention campaign.
“What are the activities for crime prevention? Beat patrolling, mobile patrolling, police visibility. These can be seen in our POP,” said Aberin.
Aberin ordered the BPPO to prevent all forms of criminality and eradicate illegal gambling in the province.
“Of course, we won’t tolerate illegal gambling in Bohol. I remind you again, one strike policy stands. We will only tolerate gambling sanctioned by the government. The rest, we should put a stop to it,” Aberin said.
