2 security guards, man yield P550,000 'shabu' in Rizal

Three suspects, including two security guards, yielded P559,640 worth of alleged shabu in a police buy-bust operation at Sitio Balso, Barangay Calahan, Cardona Rizal on Tuesday, Oct. 10.
Police identified the security guards as alias Richard, 51, a resident of Brgy Bombongan, Morong, Rizal and alias Roderick, 39, resident of Brgy. Milagrosa Carmona, Cavite.
Authorities also arrested alias Bon, 33, of Barangay Patunhay, Cardona, Rizal, whom the informant said was the man behind the illegal activity.
In the report of Maj. Roberto Papa, chief of the Cardona Municipal Police Station, said their Municipal Drug Enforcement Team (MDET) conducted a buy-bust operation at 6:35 a.m. on Tuesday, after receiving a report from an anonymous informant about the proliferation of illegal drug-selling activities in Barangay Calahan.
Confiscated from the suspects were 12 packs of suspected shabu weighing approximately 82.3 grams, a .45-caliber gun, magazines, ammunition, three units of cellphones, a wallet, a coin purse, a sling bag, and buy-bust money worth P1,000.
All arrested suspects were brought to the Rizal Provincial Forensic Unit for proper documentation and are currently detained at the Cardona Custodial Facility.
They will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and Republic Act 10591 or Firearms and Ammunitions Law in relation to the Omnibus Election Code.
Police reminded Rizaleños to strictly follow the law regarding the carrying of firearms until the end of the election period on Nov. 29.
