Village watchman drowns in Ilocos Sur

SANTA CATALINA, Ilocos Sur – A barangay tanod or watchman drowned while swimming in a beach in Barangay Tamurong here on Sunday, October 1.

Police identified the victim as Rafael Reyes Albano, 53.

Investigation said the victim, a tanod of Zone 3, Bantay, Ilocos Sur, was recovered by rescuers but he died on the way to the Rural Health Unit in this town.
