2 Chinese nationals nabbed for carrying firearms in Bulacan
Members of the San Rafael police in Bulacan arrested two Chinese individuals for carrying a firearm while a local eatery in Barangay Caingin, San Rafael, in the province on Saturday, Sept. 30
Police identified the suspects as Cao Jie, 35, and Jia Zi Cong, 27, both employees of a vegetable plantation in the said barangay.
The San Rafael police deployed operatives to the area after it received a report from a concerned citizen about the suspects who were carrying guns inside the eatery at about 1 p.m. on Saturday
They conducted a search whic led to the discovery of two firearms in the suspects' possession.
Police confiscated from the suspects a colt Caliber .45 pistol, a magazine loaded with six rounds of .45 caliber ammunition an ARMSCOR cal. 9mm pistol with a magazine loaded with nine rounds of 9mm ammunition.
The arrested suspects are presently under the custody of the San Rafael police while criminal complaints for violation of the Omnibus Election Code and Republic Act 10591 against the suspects are now being prepared for filing in court.
