QCPD nets over P41-M illegal drugs, 817 suspects from July-September 2023
The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) announced on Sunday, Oct. 1, that it seized over P41 million worth of illegal drugs and collared 817 suspects in a series of buy-bust operations conducted from July to September 2023.
QCPD said a total of 458 anti-illegal drug operations were launched by its different police stations which resulted in the confiscation of 5,699.72 grams of alleged shabu, 18,442.13 grams of marijuana, and 158 grams of "Kush" or high-grade marijuana.
The QCPD Novaliches Station (PS 4) arrested 74 drug personalities and confiscated P9,363,399.60 worth of illegal drugs while the District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) apprehended 29 suspects and confiscated P8,851,200 worth of alleged shabu and marijuana.
The Kamuning Station (PS 10) confiscated P4,017,304.00 and collared 78 drug suspects, while the Talipapa Police Station (PS 3) under Col. Morgan Aguilar nabbed 53 drug suspects and seized P3,962,680 worth of illegal drugs.
Meanwhile, P3,628,304 worth of illegal drugs were also seized from 55 drug peddlers by the operatives of the QCPD Batasan Station (PS 6).

Joy Belmonte, and the Quezon City Anti-Drug Abuse Advisory Council for their support and guidance in our campaign against illegal drugs. I can say that we are winning the war against illegal drugs because of these mutual coordination and support", said QCPD Director Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan.
He commended his men for performing their duties in the campaign against illegal drugs and maintaining peace and order in the city.

The information they provide to our stations is a great help for us to fulfill our duty to maintain the peace and safety of the community),” he added.
