Pasig LGU halts Covid-19 vax due to depleted vaccine supply

The Pasig City local government has halted Covid-19 vaccinations in the city due to the depletion of available vaccine supplies. 

According to the city government’s advisory, the Covid-19 vaccinations are discontinued temporarily until further notice from the Department of Health (DOH). 

At present, the DOH has not yet given an advisory on when the new Covid vaccines will be delivered to Pasig, it said. 

Vaccinations will resume and new vaccinations schedules will be set up as soon as the local government receives the new supply of vaccines, it added. 

As of Sept. 29, Pasig City has recorded 20 new active Covid cases, bringing the total confirmed cases to 93,556 since the pandemic began in 2020. 

Although the city has recently seen less than 20 daily active Covid-19 cases since August, the local government is still urging the public to take the necessary safety precautions against the disease.
