Operatives of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) arrested on Saturday, Sept. 30, the former mayor of Dingras, Ilocos Norte in a follow-up operation in Calamba City in Laguna.

Gamboa was tagged as the Number 2 Provincial Level Most Wanted Person of Ilocos Norte after she was tagged as the mastermind behind the killing of Ilocos Norte, Electric Cooperative President, Lorenzo Rey Ruiz in 2009.
Nartatez said Gamboa was also the alleged mastermind in the ambush of Dingras Mayor-Elect Jeffrey Saguid and Sangguniang Panlalawigan Board Member Robert Castro in December 2009.
Armed with the arrest warrant issued by Judge Felix Salvador, of Regional Trial Court Branch 17, NCRPO operatives served it on Gamboa in Kai- Balinese Pool Resort, Indigo Bay Hot Spring Subdivision Sucol, Real, Calamba City on Saturday morning.
The arrest warrant was for a case of murder with no bail recommended.
Nartatez said Gamboa was released from prison in Batac City two weeks after she was arrested for a murder case in 2019 after Salvador lifted the arrest warrant over a motion for reconsideration she filed.
But after three years, Gamboa’s appeal was rejected and an arrest warrant was again issued by Judge Salvador on July 11, 2022.
Gamboa is currently under the custody of the RSOG Office for documentation and proper disposition.
