Cansan-Bagutari Bridge in Isabela opens


CAUAYAN CITY, Isabela – The Cansan-Bagutari Bridge opened to traffic on September 27.

The newly-built infrastructure will benefit residents of Cabagan and Santo Tomas, this province.

Project Engineer Felipe Lingan of the Department of Public Works and Highways-Region 2 said the bridge will be inaugurated soon by  President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

The 720.8-linear meter bridge will provide a faster and more convenient route from Cabagan to Santo Tomas and vice versa and replaced the old and damaged bridge.

Isabela Vice Gov.  Faustino "Bojie" G. Dy III said in the soft opening that the bridge will provide enormous economic progress in Santo Tomas.

The construction of the bridge, including missing links and new roads, cost P714,000,497.70.

Bridge construction started on November 6, 2018.
