Camiguin opens first ‘Alagang Tingog Center’

The province of Camiguin welcomed on Saturday, Sept. 30 its first Alagang Tingog Center (ATC), which resulted from the collaboration of Camiguin lone district Rep. Jurdin Jesus Romualdo and Tingog Party-list.

The ATC is located in the municipality of Mambajao.

Tingog Party-list Rep. Yedda Marie Romualdez assured Camuiginons that “The ATC in the island would bring as much services as it can to the province through the help of their local government leaders.”

Alongside the inauguration, financial aid worth P5,000 was distributed to 2,000 beneficiaries composed of Persons with Disabilities (PWD) and senior citizen sectors. The payout came from the Department of Social Welfare Department’s (DSWD) Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS).

Other individuals won raffle items such as grocery bags, sacks of rice, mobile phones, smart TVs, rice cookers, gas stoves, refrigerators, bicycles, and two brand-new motorcycles.

Camiguin Governor Xavier Jesus Romualdo, Vice Governor Rodin Romualdo, Mambajao Mayor Ynigo Jesus Romualdo, and other local officials were also present at the event.

Tingog Party-list says it intends to open more ATCs in the country to bring cash, medical, burial, and education assistance closer to people.
