The Bulacan police arrested four wanted persons and six drug suspects in a series of intensified anti-crime operations in Bulacan on Saturday, Jan. 7, and Sunday, Jan. 8.
Col. Relly B. Arnedo, Bulacan police director, said the joint manhunt operation conducted by the City of San Jose Del Monte (CSJDM) police, Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU-3), Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Unit, and Malasiqui Municipal police station and Pangasinan Provincial Police Office in CSJMD on Saturday resulted in the arrest of Jan Carlo Guevarra, 19, of Brgy. Warey, Malasiqui, Pangasinan.
Guevara was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest for statutory rape issued by the CSJDM Regional Trial Court, Branch 5FC, with no bail recommended.
Police operatives from cities of Baliwag, Meycauayan, and San Jose Del Monte also arrested on Sunday three wanted felons for violations of the Cyber Crime Prevention Act of 2012 (Republic Act 10175) Cyber Libel, Acts of Lasciviousness in Relation to Republic Act 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act,” and Estafa.
Meanwhile, anti-drug operatives of Balagtas, Sta. Maria, Bustos, and San Ildefonso conducted buy-bust operations on Sunday that led to the arrest of six drug dealers identified as Joel Exciya, Jaymar Bravo, Emmanuel Gonzales, Ben De Guzman, Joselito Alcantara, and Edgar Gatdula. Recovered from them were 17 sachets of suspected shabu and marked money.
Col. Arnendo said the Bulacan Philippine National Police’s (PNP) strengthened anti-illegal drug campaign and effective intelligence response to combat these lawbreakers are being carried out with zeal in accordance with the directives of Brig. Gen. Cesar R. Pasiwen, Region 3 police director to maintain peace and order.
