The body of the 12-year-old boy who went missing after he allegedly drowned in a creek in Barangay Sto. Domingo, Quezon City on Friday, Jan. 6, was recovered by rescuers on the said waterway on Sunday, Jan. 8.
The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) La Loma Police Station said the body was found dead by residents at 11:40 a.m., along the creek in G. Araneta Avenue near the corner of N.S. Amoranto Street in Barangay Sto. Domingo, Quezon City.
Members of the QC Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) retrieved the body of the minor from the creek.
Police said the locals found the body approximately 800 meters from the area where he and his three playmates were last seen before they went missing.
It added that the minors were playing in the creek during the heavy downpour last Friday afternoon before they were reported missing.
Two of the minors aged 15 and 17 were rescued and are now in stable condition. The other victim, aged 11, was found dead under a pile of garbage on Saturday, Jan. 7.
Police said they will continue to investigate the incident.
