BOC foils smuggling of P13.8M worth of shabu, 2 people arrested in Pasay
Two people were arrested after the Bureau of Customs (BOC) foiled the alleged smuggling of some P13.8 million of shabu into the country.
The illegal drugs arrived in the country through the Port of Clark on Jan. 2 from Thailand and was declared as microserver double stairless ceramic, according to the statement released by the BOC.

During the inspection, then shabu were found inside sports jugs.
The Port of Clark then coordinated with the Port of NAIA (Ninoy Aquino International Airport) which conducted a controlled delivery operation against the consignee in Pasay City.
Two people were arrested during the operation.

The conduct of controlled delivery operation, however, was put under scrutiny due to technical issues following the acquittal of the son of Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla who was also collared over the same operation involving more than a kilo of marijuana.
