CAMP BGEN. If I don’t start this cleansing, who will do? I have thought of this move long before and I believe this will bear fruit for the betterment of our organization).”
Thus said Philippine National Police Chief General Rodolfo Azurin before the members of Police Regional Office-Calabarzon during his visit in the camp on Saturday, Jan. 7.
The PNP Chief stressed that they in the higher echelons need to set an example for those in the lower ranks to follow.
It is just right for us in higher ranks to set an example for our subordinates to follow),” said Gen. Azurin.
Before I retire, I will try to clean the image of our organization to better fight the drug problem in our country),” added Gen. Azurin.
During his visit in the camp, Gen. Azurin personally talked to the men and women of Police Regional Office (PRO) CALABARZON as he laid down his policies and guidance.
Azurin expressed his sincerest gratitude to the heartwarming hospitality of the members of PRO Calabarzon.
He reiterated the preservation of moral ascendancy and good image of the PNP to the society.
Azurin's internal cleansing aims to clear all senior officers from alleged involvement in the illegal drug trade in the country which caused distrust and doubt to the integrity of the entire organization.
He said that in his remaining term as chief of the PNP, he will improve the policies and programs which will improve the welfare and enhance the organization's capabilities to serve and protect the community.
