First Lady denies having a hand in appointment of gov't officials

First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos has had enough of allegations of her involvement in the appointment process of the present administration, warning that those using her name may not get the position they desire if they continue doing so.

In a video message shared with members of the Malacañang Press Corps (MPC), Marcos said she had nothing to do with the appointment of officials at the Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (ISAFP).

"I just want everyone to know that I have nothing to do with ISAFP. I don't know the people involved," she said.

The First Lady further clarified that she was not involved in any appointments for the Marcos administration.

"I have nothing to do with the appointments. I leave that up to my husband," she said.

According to Marcos, those using her name will not get what they want.

"If I find out that somebody is using my name, I shall tell my husband not to appoint you, okay? So, I hope this is clear everyone," she said.

"I am sick and tired of people using my name," she added.
