Cordillera cops net 2,065 wanted persons in 2022

CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – The Police Regional Office-Cordillera arrested 2,065 wanted persons in 2022.

According to the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD), the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) arrested the most number of fugitives with 848, followed by the Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) with 511; Abra PPO with 194; Kalinga PPO with 183; Ifugao PPO with 175; Apayao PPO with 84, and Mountain Province PPO with 70.

Three-hundred sixty-four were listed as most wanted persons (MWP) on various levels – 15 on the regional; 151 on the provincial, and 198 on the municipal.

Brig. Gen. Mafelino Bazar, regional police director, lauded the men and women of the PRO-Cordillera for conducting continuous manhunt operations that resulted in their successful apprehension.
