Cagayan Valley police back Abalos call

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – The Police Regional Office 2 (Cagayan Valley) led by Brig. Gen. Percival A. Rumbaoa backed Interior and Local Government Benjamin Abalos Jr.’s call for all police generals and colonels to submit their courtesy resignation to “cleanse” the Philippine National Police.

“As the top cop of PRO2, I hereby lead the Team PRO2 generals and police colonels to render our courtesy resignation to His Excellency, President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr., through the chief Philippine National Police, Gen. Rodolfo S. Azurin Jr., and Napolcom Chairman/DILG Secretary Atty. Benjamin ‘Benhur’ Abalos Jr. for the best interest of the country," Rumbaoa said.

Rumbaoa said that the men and women of PRO2 believe that the appeal to submit courtesy resignation magnifies the strong commitment of the SILG and chief PNP to make a fresh start and win the war against illegal drugs.

The PRO 2 is optimistic that this radical approach on police generals and colonels will cleanse their ranks and will further improve ground operations.
